The sun is up over the North Downs, I've had my 3 Weetabix and the bike is in the car as today's start point is some way away. Best get going soon. Later will probably involve lazing.

Morning
The cloud is below the tops of the mountains and forecast is for thunderstorms. I shall attempt to ride but I might not get far.

Morning (ish)

A bit dull. Shall put the Porker back together after the welding I did yesterday -re-instating wheel arch mount studs. Took ages. And then take it for a decent spin.

But first: coffee

Really? We've been enjoying it, especially our local lad Oscar's amazing ride.

Oscar has done well. Probably exceeded many people's expectations and he's been cool as a cucumber.
But as a competitive race, it's the Pog show. The Giro was better.
It's time they made stages longer too. The ave. speed just keeps going up. Stage 17 was a mere 161km's. A 100 mile stage in the 'biggest race in the world'?! FFS. It was rolling too, not even a high mountain stage. Tik Tok tours for those with short spans of attention and media hype which fuels a fever and advertising revenue at the expense of racing. There needs to be more balance.
Also, a minimum number of racing days needs to be a prerequisite. How many racing days did Vingegaard race in 2024? (Pog had just 58 IIRC). The answer: 38. "All the sacrifices I make...". Whingey sh*t bag. Shut up Jonas.
Merckx: between 70 and 127 per annum just for context.

Morning. Again.
Did Sainsbury's in Zombie Mode feeling most peculiar and dog tired. Now home and packed away. Lazy offspring still in bed. Will consume coffee and pastries then snooze.
Wife back from hols late tonight. Best run the hoover around a bit.

A long lie led to having to duck and dive past other runners and cyclists on the tow path this morning.
PSiL1 appears to be in the house and we're not on farting terms with him yet, so a day of mooching round the house attending to odds and sods and generally holding my breath awaits.

Seems like you may have to.
Why the tentative company, was there family 'obligations'?
Terrible things them Muriel.
