School closures

My youngest's college and half the local schools have already annouced they're closed tomorrow due to the 'expected' snowfall. All it's doing at the moment is raining, I bet they won't be annoucing that they're open after all if it comes to nothing.
I actually hope we have loads though as said youngest has just about finished building a snow bike out of an old bmx, some skateboard trucks and a pair of skis

My eldest 2 came home to say that there was much more snow by their school and that it may be closed tomorrow - so they are really excited. Whereas we have very little other than a dusting here so my youngest looks like he might has school tomorrow. In which case I would feel very sorry for him and tempted to let him have the day off too anyway if there is enough to play in.

Can't make my mind up ... what I really want is either no snow or absolutely loads of the stuff, not in the middle of that where its annoying but not enough to do anything with.

If there is snow and he uses his snow bike you ought to post photos.

Blimey Young Un it must be deep as I don't ever remember the schools at Trimpley or Wribennall being closed because of the weather, back in the sixties when I was there.

off all day today (high, primary and pre-schools) with only the high school confirming they'll be off tomorrow too.

the kids NEED to be back at school (and boy do we after xmas)…

The northern side of Nottinghamshire have very few schools staying open.
One school has told us that they will be closed until monday - wtf!

Perhaps they know something that we don't.

So the part time school teachers want even more time off. Meanwhile those with children have now to find alternative arrangements to cope with the unexpected kids being at home.
