Need a new tyre for my weekend off road* ride in to Epping forest.
25% Road
65% dry trails (dry stone or hard sand)
10% wet mud / wet sand.
Bike is a new Giant Roam with Giant 700-40 tyres. But seem to have a puncture with them almost every weekend. I don't need super puncture protection but the Giant tyre seems to have none.
So, I have narrowed it down to
700-42 Hurricane
Or
700-35 Sammy slick.
Out of this two, I think I prefer the slight extra width on the Hurricane for some ride comfort but it's a bit heavier.
Are these tyres good for Forest trails?
