schwalbe marathon - WTF happened???

I had that happen several times , then i checked the sidewall and saw a max psi of 85. I'd been inflating to 110. That was on Contis though.

I don't over inflate, in fact I usaully underinflate - and this being front tyre on a rigid frok mountain, I delibertely keep the front a bit softer.

even so, surely the extra pressure should not be able to stretch the tyre?

A friend of mine got a set of marathon + tyres and both of them are f**ked the rear had the beed snap and de laminate and the front is now popping of the rim no matter what I do!
