I am currently racing cross on a mtb and so need tyres that 26". my parents dont seem too keen on spendin £45 for a schwalbe black shark mud, and a conti XC, so I was wondering if these tyres woulld be ok for mud/hard frosty ground?

Cheers

I've never tried them but the tread pattern looks quite tight for a mud tyre and there's no central ridge so they're probably not that quick on hard frosty ground.

There must be something better (although probably slightly more expensive).

Again i've never tried them but I would suspect the Conti tyres you've just linked to are much better.

The tread pattern has wide open grooves, which should make them good for mud. They're narrow and light so they should be reasonably quick on hardpack.

You'd better ask the French, but I'm not sure they'll give you their beautiful capital city in exchange for a bike.
