A learned friend of advancing years has written and would like to publish a Geometry Paper.
Assuming that New Scientist would be overun with requests, does the team know of any other UK Magazines that might be interested ?

Thanks in advance

Err - is this a novel geometry? Most scientific journals are looking for originality............

But there may be some Mags which aren't.

New Scientist is more about science news than actual published papers. Papers like The Lancet iirc tend to take research, but that more medical, you'd have to find a relevant publisher, or contact a Uni to ask them for advice.

Incidentally ...My Brother has had 2 papers published with his chemistry research in. Peer review is frightening to many, but necessary.

The two professional bodies are the ones to contact in the first instance. There's more to having a paper published than you might think. The two bodoes will be able to advise on the formatting and suitability of the paper.
The London Mathematical Society
The Institute of Mathematics

Alternatively your friend might consider contacting the Mathematics department of a local university and seeking the opinions of some practising mathematicians.
