Suggestions for a weeks tour

Hello there, I have led cycle holidays to Scotland for the last few years, and eventually moved there. Like one of the other posters here, I'd suggest getting train to Inverness and doing a circuit up the west coast, coming back down the middle.

We have also just had a fantastic tour around the Trossachs, just north of Stirling.

The Trossachs tour Gary refers to was an absolute gem and one I can not recommend enough if you want quiet roads, hills and scenery.

Thanks for the pictures StirlingCrispin, very nice. A question - in this and some other pictures there are white spots on the hills that look like snow - is it really?

Slightly OT - when I drove up to Skye last June; there was snow on top of the mountains in Glencoe, and the daffodils were still out!

Hi Samid,
I'm also thinking of cycling in Scotlnd in 2009. Actually I can't wait to go! I managed to secure bargain tent yesterday, a Coleman Avior X1 for £50.00! What a bargain, the shop had more at £58.00. I intend to catch the sleeper from Euston to Carlisle and cycle NCN to Inverness then onto Fort William. I wish you well on your trip.
