Proof that I haven't been imagining it; June and July were the wettest since 1938, and as the article says "August is also shaping up to be a damp squib".
Pretty much as a consequence (and being a self confessed hater of cycling in the rain - it's supposed to be fun so never mind MTF'nU!) my cycling mileage is sitting at a pathetic 2k or thereabouts for the year so far. Target of 3.5k is looking out of sight with the winter months coming up. Ach well, there's always next year :sad:.
 
They'd surely be better off measuring the dry days in Scotland, keep the record books shorter.

If i did'nt cycle in the rain i would'nt cycle much.A good rain jacket and just get out there,its the horizontal rain i don't like

Ach, it hasn't been that bad..

The sunny 'Port' has had 192.3 mm in that period..Aug has 100mm so far,
positively balmy:okay:

I went for a swim in the sea today. Mind you the first since July 17th even down here in the sunny south.
I think you should move south Brandane...
