We've got too many National anthems; isn't `Scotland the Brave' one too?

I really don't like Scotland the Brave. It just doesn't fill the heart with passion:sad:

But your right. Too many possible anthems. It's time we sorted this once and for all!

Living Legend & Old Fart
YE CANNA SHOVE YER GRANNY

Oh ye cannae shove yer grannie aff the bus,
Oh ye cannae shove yer grannie aff the bus,
Ye cannae shove yer grannie
For she's yer mammie's mammie,
Ye canna shove yer grannie aff the bus.

O ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus,
O ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus,
O ye canna shove yer Granny
’Cos she's yer Mammy's Mammy
O ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus.

Ye can shove yer ither Granny aff a bus.
Ye can shove yer ither Granny aff a bus.
Ye can shove yer ither Granny
’Cos she's yer Faither's Mammy
Ye can shove yer ither Granny aff a bus.

Ye can shove yer Uncle Wullie aff a bus.
Ye can shove yer Uncle Wullie affa bus.
Uncle Wullie's like yer Faither
A harum-scarum blether,
Ye can shove yer Uncle Wullie aff a bus.

Ye can shove yer Auntie Maggie aff a bus.
Ye can shove Auntie Maggie aff a bus.
Auntie Meg's yer Faither's sister,
She's naethin' but a twister,
Ye can shove yer Auntie Maggie aff a bus.

But ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus.
O ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus.
O ye canna shove yer Granny,
’Cos she's yer Mammy's Mammy,
O ye canna shove yer Granny aff a bus.

Singing I will if you will, so will I; singing I will if you will, so will I;
Singing I will if you will, I will if you will, I will if you will, so will I.

Whilst we're at it, isn't "God Save The Queen" a bit of a dirge as well? It's not even the English anthem! You lot would be much better served by "Jerusalem" or even the Sex Pistols version of the former!

I like 'God Save the Queen' - particularly the last verse which is never sung...

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
God save the queen is an awful dirge, but it is always played to slowly, so that it sounds even worse than it should do. Land of hope and glory would be my choice.

RUNRIG!

Their version (Live) of Loch Lomond is breathtaking and shows that it is already a crowd pleaser in Scotland

MAny of their songs celebrate Scotland, but the one that really moves me is "Hearts of Olden Glory"

There's thunder clouds
Round the hometown bay
As I walk out
In the rain
Through the sepia showers
And the photoflood days

I caught a fleeting glimpse
Of life
And though the water's
Black as night
The colours of Scotland
Leave you young inside

There must be a place
Under the sun
Where hearts of olden glory
Grow young

There's a vision
Coming soon
Through the faith
That cleans your wound
Hearts of olden glory
Will be renewed

Down the glens
Where the headlands stand
I feel a healing
Through this land
A cross for a people
Like wind through your hands
