Hi guys,

Hope I'm posting this in the correct place! Long story short, I have recently purchased my first carbon bike, been loving the bike but today after a wet and soggy ride I noticed some quite sizeable scratches on my front forks.
I'm new to the carbon game so just needed some clarification, I'm hoping they're purely cosmetic, if so what's the best way to repair?

Thanks for any advice!
Andy

Look to me to be not much more than paint damage.

If you want to be sure get your bike shop to take a look.

Could be a rubbish top coat laquer ie too thin etc that is why its chipping easily. If the bike is new I would take it back and chance my arm on the warranty, could be classed as a fault. I had a old BH carbon bike that after 5 years started to shed its clear laquer all over the place but was too old to claim on any warranty.
