Had this happen to me on the 465 near Bargoed. Luckily it was low gauge fishing line and snapped before any damage occurred.

you are very lucky it was low guage, i have sliced my fingers on nylon before while fishing and it can cut like a razor when under force.

Not as dangerous but showing similar attitude I once spotted a middle aged woman carefully laying thorny rose cuttings at 90 degrees across the canal towpath between Gloucester and Slimbridge.I tossed the whole lot in the canal while she looked on seemingly not embarrassed.


You should have thrown her in..
