The saddle clamp on the seatpost on my Scott Road bike has teeth cut into the two parts so you adjust it in set amounts as the teeth mesh together.

I seem to need my saddle tilt angle half way between two settings to get it dead right.

I believe you can get seat posts with smooth clamps that allow tiny amounts of adjustment due to lack of teeth.

Can anyone recommend an alloy one that doesnt cost a fortune. (My rx seat post bar cant be clamped to carbon fibre)

I've always got on well with Ritchey stuff. Their 1 bolt clamp is a doddle.

Thanks, willhave a look at those. Its amazing the increments in tilt on the saddle arent very big but the perfect spot for me lies halfway betyween two clicks.
