Anyone recommend a reasonable one (not too upmarket - bike's not worth that!): Alu, 27.2mm, doesn't need to be exceptionally long?

Requirements are:
  • Two clamp bolts (whoever invented the cr@p design with a single bolt and 'pillow' nut, deserves to be - er - sent on a 100-miler with brillo pads stuffed down his shorts :biggrin:!:o)....*mutter* ... *mutter* ...
  • Capable of setting the saddle where I want it: not where the designer thinks I want the saddle set. I.e. decent range of angles and horizontal positions. Is that too much to ask?
  • Available mail order.

Having used and broken lots of seatposts, the only one i can happily recommend for anyone is Thomson

I'd recommend Thomson as well. They are pricey but worth every penny. My Thomson post and stem are the two best parts on my bike.
