Seatpost adapter/converter?

Does one exist? I want to fit a 27.2 mil post into a 31.6 tube. Is there some sort of adapter i can use between them? And if not why bloody not lol, cheers!

Yes - they are called seatpost shims. Here is one.

if you've got a bit of bath pipe=22mm water pipe in copper kicking about, slit it down it's length, flare one end carefully (so it doesn't drop in) and try that. it worked a treat for me
