Second Hand Garmin Edge 305

Ahoy folks
I have been given a Garmin Edge 305. I am trying to register it but the product was registered originally 5 years ago. The Garmin Connect Dashboard will see my device but there is no upload button on the right of the screen. How am I able to use the service without being able to register the product against my account?

(I basically want to be able to upload the heart-rate, cadence, speed and routes taken).

Yes. Or use garmin sync, upload to GC and it will automatically post to strava also

RideWithGPS gives stats that are as good as GC, strava is limited on info unless you pay IMO. That aside if the OP wants to use GC, Id drop them (GC) a email if they are anywhere near as good as their parent company (Garmin) they'll sort it out quickly. A temporary work around may be to upload the data to RWGPS or Strava download the track and upload manually to GC.

I've registered on Strava but the original owner has now unregistered so I am on Garmin Connect too.
