Now then these follow up posts have reminded me of my very early years,in a Leeds council house and silver fish.We had them in Tynwald Close Moortown.

Oh my brother stayed in a cottage one summer that had silverfish. I think they lurked behind the wallpaper.

I struggled a bit selling the old Drago towers. It was priced at the stamp duty threshold, so appealed to first time buyers...who all wanted to buy it but couldn't quite get the necessary mortgage.

In the end I bought a new gaff and sold the old one to the developer as a px. I took a 10k hit on the sale price, but as Id trousered £119,000 profit due to the old place having risen in value during my ownership it wasn't too painful.

Phone call this morning informing us,the buyer has pulled out.A bit of damp has been blamed, but we don't know where. So until we are told nothing can be done. This is the second failed sale. The first could not get a mortgage after their property was revalued.A bit of a damp squid to say the least.

It's not 'damp squid'. It's 'damp squib'.

Sorry about the house sale. It seems like quite a few people are having difficulty selling their properties. Friends of my step-fathers wanted to move up to Yorkshire, but they could not sell their house.
