MTB newby question.

I was looking at some FS bikes today and it crossed my mind that, while you could lock your bike with a decent gold standard lock to an immoveable rack in the town centre say, what is here to stop somebody as soon as you walk away from it simply unbolting £300's worth of rear shox and making off with it, or is it just something that never happens?

Is that that sort of bike you would use for urban riding?

I would question why you would lock a decent full susser to a rack in a town centre? A rat bike is what you need for town and even then at least one gold standard lock.

But to answer the question - not a lot, they could have your pretty much any component they wanted, not just the rear shock.
