We have had one viewing in 7/8 week. Yesterday we learned we lost what my wife had described as ideal house in the right location. Personally I’m happy to take it off and wait until the market picks up.
I'm also wondering whether to rent ours out and rent something else in Cornwall.
I blame Donald T…… (joking obvs)
A few months ago it was mentioned on the radio that DT's war with Iran was effecting the housing market here. I guess due to increasing fuel prices, that makes everything get more costly and people are reluctant to invest.
I'm hoping to buy my first house this year (or early next), so I'm in a position where I want (need?) the market to stay on its arse until I've put a deposit down.
With regards to how long it might take between putting in an offer and completion, that's a bit sticky too since I'm waiting for my landlady to serve me an eviction notice (no fault) which will give me four months notice. I was expecting that in January but no sign of it yet.
