Similar thing happened at Wells in Norfolk a few years back. They buggered up renovated the lovely old granary building next to the harbour into yuppie flats - mainly holiday places for London folks. Soon after, the trawler lads had loads of complaints from the new residents moaning about all the noise from the trawlers setting sail or unloading their catch early in the morning. Lots of 'why can't they start work at 9am? ' comments. Er.....tides?!! Unbelievable really.

Same as the eejits who move to the country from the city and complain about cockerels crowing and church bells going off. But the constant traffic noise etc in the city is no problem.....
If you're in the country you might accidentally see where food comes from, in all its sometimes more unpleasant states.... there's a shame, eh?!

Church bells going off? Like Bang!?

I quite agree. You'd think people would see the whacking big bell tower and work it out...

This old boy's been there forever- a few townies move in, (no doubt demanding streetlights as well), and it's all over. Seems crazy to me.
