Of course, if @Col5632 et al were working properly during their working hours, instead of doodling around on CC , maybe they wouldn't need all their extra jobs to pay for N + 1 !

:hugs: @Col5632 !

Yeah but buying clothes etc for some reason is treated differently to ordering food

Your assumption that I was not talking about food is not the case at all, it is just you work for a very different outfit so seem to find it hard to imagine what I'm hinting at.

agreed,
@Col5632 there are so many takeaway shops that delivery is free within a radius of say 3 miles.
There are so many outlets that there is no need to order from anyone further away than that.
Maybe it works differently in Scotland where the population is more spreadout and the number of outlets is limited.

In dunfermline we have more than our fairshare of places to order food from, we even have 3 chinese shops on the same street but in the smaller villages they have none or very little and these are the places we tend to deliver to

Bloody food vans and pizza mopeds, polluting the atmosphere, costing the country millions and you still want to give 'em more money. Tip? My derriere a tip. ^_^

(Nothing personal, just that a pizza moped man decided he was going to drive at pace into my leg on Monday night. Really apologetic though - in whatever language he was speaking. I nearly tipped him.)
You are obviously more forgiving and even tempered than I am.

Signed.

ANGRY MAN.

OT - but the moment after he hit me, it was in the past, and it only took a couple of washes to get the tyre grime off my leg - bit like a standard Friday Night Ride repair session! Now, if I had got a hole in my rain jacket...

What larger outfit are you talking about?

As an aside, why is my post wacko if I'm talking about the same area you are and telling you something that you apparently don't know?

Ones to do with food. The trend is towards so called click and collect services for food also, longer delivery hours, different delivery areas and same day delivery (and various other things). There are all sorts of other similar trends in logistics for other on-line sales, one reason why I did not see the need to make the distinction.

I would have gone for the pizza - face - teeth - throat - hospital - orthodontics, interface solution.

Think I might change career & join a caring profession.

For example some of the information in the public doman about the direction some things are going

And do you reckon tipping will develop in this arena of food provision too?
Whatever the service, or source of supply, if one decides to give then so be it. But what you get must be 'touching' you in a personal way. The only people who give me nothing but get money are RNLI and Guide Dogs - thankfully. Oh, and my mate the Big Issue seller outside Kentish Town Co-op, who wished me Merry Christmas 4000 times this year - at least.

Agreed, I think "proper" delivery drivers are slightly different as they are paid per hour of work and its a "proper" job as such, where as mine is to make extra and my only way of making money at that job is on delivery and tips, some are better than others, i don't expect a tip but some people dont even say hi or thanks and to me thats just rude
