Live your life the way you want to - respect!

Personally, I gave up smoking back in the mid 80's and haven't done it since because of the health issues. That said, I LOVED IT! And if they ever invent a non harmful Marlboro I'd happily do 40 a day! Feels like I've made some awful confession...

Don't worry - at the rate they change their minds it will only be a matter of time before the medical profession starts to recommend the old woodbines again. As for smoking being disgusting -well it seems strange that the tolerance for weed/marijuana is growing and it's effects can be more catastrophic [no I'm sorry I wouldn't like to be either in or close to a car driven by someone smoking the stuff for example] and TBH are much less well understood [and please no arguments about 'medical use' - most users don't have advanced arthritis].

I returned from work tonight around midnight so I guess you could say this morning.

My good indoor lady informed me that someone I cycle with had a few choice words to say about me. (I had no idea who he was and still don't) the words used where " ah he's the only one that sparks up a fag after training"

So I ask of you all. Mainly as this peeved me slightly.
Why am I the #bluewords because I smoke? yes it's not healthy yes neither is drinking. I have a high stress job I work long hours I fit my bike in where I can and I still put out high avg speeds still climb quickly and still spend time money and effort on cycling. Yet it is my life style and I choose to live it my way. I'm not a health freak and I'm not aiming to go pro.
So what is the fecking problem? I don't turn up on a Tuesday night and give them all sh,t because they can't run a restaurant. I don't care if I have deor or di2 what rims your running with what hubs. I don't care!
I like my bike, I like riding my bike and that's is what I will do. Boohoo to the toffs of cycling.
Cycling first. Fashion is well down the list for me. And if these people can't keep up? Well...

Rule 5!

Bah!
After forty years of campaigning against smoking...most people don't like smoking and smokers.

Who would've thought it?

Here's the sex: I once had sex on a motorcycle but I had to stop at a certain point, stop the bike that is. Another chapter: I cycled 5 miles to have sex with my girlfriend and then cycled back, I am not sure if the 5 miles counted as foreplay but it seemed to work, in fact I think it was this relationship that got me hooked - on both cycling and sex.

I used to smoke, got a cracking photo of me crossing the finish line of the Hemel 10 in 2000 with a fag on the go. 1.24 was hardly a record breaker, but still bettered at least half the field.

Gave up a couple of years after that as I simply wasn't enjoying it, and don't like doing things purely for the sake of habit (except annoying User).

You must upload this photo. I'm yet to have some one care enough to take an action shot of me on a bike. Yet when they do. I will be sure to be gouging wine and sparking a Marlboro effort my freind.

And your evidence base for these odd claims?
