Viking. No pointy helmets and Southwark Trading Standards will hear from me...

Still geographically illiterate?

So are you now saying you didn't ask for a refund (which is what swansonj's and my posts were relating to)?
No, I think he's being quite clear now; he walked out, he asked for a refund, more than once, he was the instigator of costing the Globe for withdrawing their publicity, but he never received a refund. He is presenting himself as affronted because one person suggested, in passing and not centrally to any point being made, that he had received a refund. Which is a bit like Ernest Saunders forcing HIGNFY to agree that he'd merely had pre-senile dementia not alzheimers, whilst agreeing he was a convicted criminal and fraudster.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Ah right. If only he'd been so clear and precise....
I think you've got a case for false advertising against Cuno. I'm sure that Southwark Trading Standards will be delighted to entertain your case.

Ironic really....I can only apologise for your misundertanding

When you quoted this post:
I have never stated a refund was received, others however have made untrue claims that I did

.. and asked :

Really? Where?

I had not realised that you did not really mean this, and were not actually asking where the post stating I had received a refund was.... as opposed to really asking where I had stated I had asked for a refund

Hence, I can only correct my reply to this denial of your posts presented above:

So are you now saying you didn't ask for a refund (which is what swansonj's and my posts were relating to)?

Not at all, that was made clear in my original post

I've been on a lunchtime walk. First to the Globe.

Distinctly traditional costume. I was disgusted. I'd been led by the pre-publicity to expect magical realism - a man with two faces and horns.

I had no choice but to make my way to 160 Tooley Street, home of that righter of wrongs, that cutuzens' champion: Southwark Trading Standards.

On the way something else assailed my eye at the back of Evans.

Wind in your hair? Through a helmet? And what if the putative "you", the viewer to whom the poster is addressed has no hair? Maybe you are alopecic, suffering from male pattern baldness, like a number 1 all over or in the middle of a course of chemotherapy!

Armed with my two complaints I carried on my way.

Sadly by the time I arrived I'd used up my allotted lunch break and had no time to enlist the knights errant of false advertising.

Just in case anyone was wondering. Whether these count as 'traditional' or not is anyone's guess though.

Postmodern traditional, perhaps? Shakespeare in the style of Jane Austen and Chaucer.

The ever decreasing circle of pyscophants reinforcing their own erroneous fantasies with increasingly bizarre claims

Tragic

The original scenario continues to gain likes, and the few who are unable to raise genuine objections resort to personal attacks instead

About the usual standard for some though, and only really expected

I have been straight with you throughout in saying that, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the advertising, I consider it a deeply inappropriate attitude to regard theatre as a commodity where one can demand a refund*.

I have been straight with you throughout that I do not support misleading advertising.

I have been straight with you throughout in saying that, in the absence of seeing the actual advertising concerned, I cannot form my own opinion as to whether the advertising was in fact misleading as to the essence of what you were buying a ticket to see, or merely only misleading if theatre is viewed with what I regard as a lamentably superficial and limited perspective.

Those are indeed unapologetically criticisms of your behaviours that you have described and defended with gusto. I do not consider any of them constitute a "personal attack" or an "erroneous fantasy".

*for artistic reasons. I might reluctantly concede that a refund might be in order in the event of a total power cut preventing the performance going on.

Nor do I......

Unlike others you have a reasoned argument and contributed in that context

Therein lies the point,

Others lack your standards

Coming from someone like Cunobelin, who is positively stultifying in his relentless bullying persecution of anyone who fails to agree with his every word, or who refuses to respond to his repetitive and idiotic questions, a complaint about "personal attacks" is a nothing but a monstrous f*cking cheek.

Thank you for putting your posts in their correct context
