Hello,
I am starting a cycle tour from Edinburgh to Poland at the beginning of August and plan to get the DFDS ferry. You can't buy a single bunk ticket only double/quadruple bunk rooms. The price for a double is around £366 and so I was wondering if anyone is also planning to do the ferry crossing and would like to share a room and split the cost? I was thinking I'd book it for around the 11th or 12th of August. But I can be flexible.
Thanks
🙂

The first time I travelled to Shetland by ferry you had the option of booking a bunk in a shared cabin. You got to share with a complete stranger.

The new Brittany Ferry on the Portsmouth/Caen route (Guillaume de Normandie) has curtained off sections (so not really cabins in the true sense) with 4 bunks in each section. So if travelling alone you get to share with 3 strangers! Did it last year on a cycling trip, and ended up sharing with 3 motor bikers. But with me being a motor biker as well as a cyclist, all was good .
