This is a daft question but I am going to ask it anyway.

I love my bike, and it currently resides in my porch (and is very happy there!). But I am thinking of trying to de-clutter my house a bit and buying a small shed to store it in along with my other bike bits.

Are bikes normally protected from rust when kept in a shed, and if not, what can I do to stop that happening?

Thanks.

Mine, which are in a metal shed, don't rust, however, I tend to give them a clean and oil befor winter storing.

I have a garage, but mine and my sons bikes are kept in the porch as its much easier and quicker to get them out and we do use them most days.

Yeah, the porch is just soooo handy for grabbing the bike.

I am a bit worried that if I put it in a shed I might not use it then.

Out of sight and all that .....

Think I might have answered my own question !!!

My commuter - whichever one I am using, lives under a lean-to I built onto the side of next door's garage at the side of my house.
Easy to get to, safe( huge masterlock keeping it so) and dry when in get it every morning.
