Sherbert fountains give me many happy memories of sucking wet cardboard.......................

Ah yes, I remember it well.

A plastic wrapper is just plain wrong. Just look at kitkats, how on earth is anyone supposed to smooth the foil over the writing and the gaps between the bars if there isn't any foil? Goes against any form of common sense.

I remember the strawberry sherbet fountains. They were very rare when I was little. You'd see all the normal black liquorice ones lined up on the counter at the sweet shop and just one or two of the strawberry ones with red liquorice, tucked at the end. Were they rationed?

Oooh, PP - the two finger multipack kitkats still come in the old packaging. You just have to eat two at a time to the full nostalgia hit, but hey, it's a small price to pay..

I can't stand liquorish,

Sherbert dibdabs - was that the one with 3 compartments in the packet, 2 different colors and 1 dipping stick ? (for want of a better description).

Nooooooo- sherbert dipdab had a red lolly in it, and the one with 3 compartments was a Double Dip- one orange flavour, one cherry and a swizzle stick to eat it with!!!

Erm.......should I be ashamed at my knowledge of confectionary?????

Can anyone here bite all of the chocolate off the outside of a KitKat finger? And I mean the normal sized ones not the chunky ones?

I used to do it to Breakaways too. And I have also been known to dismember a jaffa cake...
But can you suck a golf ball through a garden hose?

At the same time as enjoying a sherbert fountain at Saturday picture club, I also loved Old Jamaica Chewing tobacco, a dark brown chewing stringy sweet. I just can't understand why it is no long available?

I was trying to remember the name of the sweet tobacco - Old Jamaica, of course! - mmmm I loved that stuff. The sweetie fags were nice too. I've no idea why they stopped making them either.
