She's victimising me!

I had 2 visits from 'the' fairy before Christmas within a few days both at the front.... So I checked the tyre on both occasions and found nothing. I assumed it was the soft compound Giant tyres at fault so changed them to Schwalbe with kevlar band.... rode it for a couple of days without fault, got the bike out after the Christmas break to commute today and front tyre is flat again.....

I'm going to check the rim tonight to see if there is a sharp bur on it (shouldn't be bikes only 4 months old) and I will check the valve as I bought 2 tubes from a well known car and bike retailer when I was desperate. The first the valve core blew out when I used A C02 pump.....so the valve is prime suspect on 2nd tube at the minute....

But the fairy with the 2 visits a week ago and then again today, combined with gale force winds have scuppered my hope to achieve 3000 this year as I'm 60 odd miles short........

So I will aim for 4000 in 2014 and if I achieve 3500 I will be satisfied

3 flats in 2 weeks though.... I reckon it's dodgy tube this time. but if its a puncture I will save the tube for you.
what size tyres are you rolling on?
why are you saving people tubes? i use old tubes to make ranger bands (large heavy duty rubber bands)
Cheers Ed

and I don't need any giant elastic bands (thanks for suggestion though) Cyberknight patches I don't.... and he lives near where I work so he's welcome to em (when I remember to save em!)

what's tread got to do with it?
thorns go between threads or into them and create slow punctures if that
