Shimano cranks and FSA BB

Hi all, hope everyone has had a great festive period. I know this May seam like a stupid question, however I am in the process of changing a friends crankset around. My question is around compatibility. The bike has a FSA mega exo bottom bracket (very poor IMO but it's his bike and he doesn't want to change that unless really needed, but he wants to change from the FSA gossamer crankset to a shimano crankset. Will the Shimano crankset fit into the FSA bottom bracket or am I going to have to change the BB as well?

Yes it will fit.

edit: I'm completely wrong, shimano and mega exo are both 24mm so it should fit

Although it will work for the Gossamer, if anyone else has FSA carbon cranks, then you can't use Shimano bottom brackets, due to a shorter spindle length.
