Shimano Sora 2300 8 speed Mini Groupset (F & R mechs, Shifters)

For sale is a Shimano Sora (2300) 8 speed Mini Groupset comprising the shifters and front and rear mechs. All in excellent condition and good working order. Front mech is the band on type for a 31.8mm seat tube. There is some light scratches to the outside edge of the right hand shifter but not very noticeable and nothing that affects its function in any way. Both mechs are in excellent order with just some very minor blemishes on the rear of the jockey wheel housing. This is not visible when installed. This is a nice cheap Groupset for a winter or second bike or even if you are building a bike for permanent turbo trainer use. Rear mech has a longer cage so will accommodate up to a 32t cassette.

would the left hand shifter be a double or triple?

My googling indicates Shimano 2300 can be either double or triple. If triple I’m interested.

Apologies for late reply but I’ve only just had a chance to look at this.
Unfortunately the left shifter is only a double, or I assume that to be the case as it came on a bike with a double chainset and worked beautifully. It is still possible that it could be a triple as it would still work perfectly on a double!
I don’t really have any way of finding our as they are no longer fitted to a bike. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

I’ve just googled it myself and established that the triple shifter had the designation of 2303 and not 2300 so I think it confirms mine to be a double.
