Ribble quite a bit in the past too. As I said, my issue isn't that something got damaged in the post. This item has clearly been repackaged and was just as obviously packed in the condition it arrived - scratched.
I know they'll replace it if I send it back but I'm just annoyed that they tried to palm me off with sub-standard gear in the first place. You'd have to be blind to miss the scratch and the bubble wrap was still intact when it arrived.
Anyway problem solved, I've just given the mech to a mate to replace the one he's just wrapped around his wheel. He's very happy with it, especially as it's just going to be costing him a pint
