Shin itch help?

Only a few hours after a ride my shins itch like mad. This doesn’t happen in colder weather. Not sure if it’s to do with sun/sweat combo.
Does this happen to anyone else??

Before or after showering?
Probably some sort of prickly heat. Does taking an antihistamine before riding help?

What kind of ride? Road or Off?
Off road, thrashing through the undergrowth, I'd expect a bit of itchyness..

I ran out of those anti tablets in 2013 need to buy some more.

I’ll do that. Maybe get the hair off too now I’m getting faster. Would veet be best?

Ugh horrid stuff especially if you have sensitive skin, just get them waxed, much longer lasting

Yes. My legs seem to be mildly irritated by my own sweat, but mainly once I stop sweating - I can be out in the heat for hours OK, but it'll start a few hours after going back into shade/cool. Fortunately I don't sweat much and can usually rinse it off soon after being out, or at least wipe it.

Could it be insect bites?

If it is that then they must be tiny ones. My shins must be damp in this weather and hairy legs plus sensitive skin not a great combo.
