"Shod with..."

Has the expresssion "shod with..." when referring to wheels and tyres passed me by all these years, or is it a newish expression. It's a nobber phrase whatever.

You guessed wrong. I hate fruit pies especially cherry pie. It resonated with my recollection of pulp fiction read in my teenage years and written by Richard Allan et al.

Why the need for the word "shod"? Why not e.g. "Mavic Open Pro rims with Schwalbe Ultremo X"?

It appears to me as if someone in a magazine decided it required a nobber word and they went for "shod"

I don't use it but it's quite common. More common than Total Tzatziki it seems.
