I have been hot this week, still been in the winter kit. Today, spring kit. Three quarter shorts and a long sleeve top, long finger gloves. Lovely! I was able to put much more effort in without feeling that I would pass out from the heat.

I tend to wear shorts most of the time anyway, on or off the bike, but this morning going in I had to remove my jacket as I was too hot, so rode in in shorts and t-shirt. I'm dreading the summer now.

I was undoing my jacket 3/4 in to the ride, knees were fine which is more than can be said about the roads !!!

I have to say the sort of 3/4 longs I'm wearing are the type you want to check every month or so to make sure they've not started to reveal a little to much. But that extra layer does so much for keeping my knees supple. This I noticed the week after I got back from climbing camp, my legs were stiff but my knees felt a lot smoother with the 3/4 longs on than shorts even with air temps in the high teens. I wouldn't say that in shorts my legs felt cold at all, just it was better to have my 3/4 longs on.
