should carbon rims squeel?

hi

ive not long just got a pair of zipp 404's for the cross, now the front one doesnt realy squeel much, only when im coming from realy high speeds and brake hard

but the back one, usualy soon as i apply a certain pressure get alot of squeel

should this be happening?

nope, your toe in probably isn't set properly.

Yup need some more toe in - when setting up your brake blocks slide a 2 or 3mm thick piece of folded paper under the back of the block and then tighten and this should solve the problem.

May not only be toe_in, although this is probably responsible for most of the noise. Could be the brake pads themselves. I think Zipp have just released some cork brake pads that generate less heat, allow for more modular braking and have a bit of a longer lifespan.

No idea how much they are though.
