Should have gone back to bed

Whilst I was walking around Morrison's this morning the 8am alarm was going off on my mobile. I know I was asleep and was not with it, but it took me more than 3 minutes to work out that my alarm was playing loudly in my pocket.

Now, unless I have some music on, I can still hear it playing the theme tune to M*A*S*H to me. I have even found my phone and checked it once this afternoon to confirm it was not actually playing.

Anyone else having one of those days?

I downloaded some new ringtone/notification tones to my phone the other day. Selected one and forgot about it, twenty minutes later the MD was outside of my door and it went off - really, really, loudly - and I was on the other side of the office! I've never heard such volume from my phone before. Nor since.

I've never walked around Morrison's with my phone ringing though, I don't usually set the alarm, and inside my local store there is only reception at the entrance and at the very back near the deli.

We don't have an alarm clock at home, making do with what we have. Normally I have the alarm set for 8am on a rest day (no cycling day) but today had to get up and be driven to my husband's work place for me to drive home in our repaired car - his argument being that he could not drive 2 cars at once! somehow he missed my (valid) argument about him simply cycling to work and driving home with the bike in the car...
I don't normally keep the phone on me, but my step-father went into hospital for a total hip replacement and is now poorly. Everytime they try to get him to move, he passes out, so need to keep it handy incase... usually I have to ring the thing to find it to take it to bed with me... OK that did not sound very good even to me...

I have changed my phone alarm to an alarm clock bell ring. I was finding the 'tune' I had before becoming an early morning ear worm. This replacement handset seems to have very few ring tones on it to choose from.
My alarm has been slowly getting earlier each day this week, as I need to start getting up at a sensible time again. Currently set for 7.30 and should be 7am by the end of the week and back to my old 6.45 by the end of next week, all being well.

Last night I changed the ring tone from another random 'tune' to a Cummins 6BT diesel engine starting up.
It is the sound track from this video.

Not sure if I will hear it on this handset though. An earlier phone had better, and louder, sound so it was quite audiable and distinctive.

The only time my £2.99 cycling mobile has ever rung while I was out on the bike, my buddy and I were mystified at the odd noise coming from behind us and seeming to follow us.

I have turned up the volume now and set it to play the William Patel overture.

I had to go an check it again at 4:30pm. I was convinced I could hear it and walked into the dining room and I could hear it. My 4:30pm pilates alarm for pilates at 6pm was going off... the worrying thing is that I have been hearing it all day and mentally singing the words to the tune and the tune I have been hearing goes passed the end of the 30sec limit on the alarm and I have been mentally filling in words to sections that the alarm does not repeat and I have not heard at any point today... (it just repeats the same 30secs until you turn it off).

HELP...

hoep not because it is 12 miles away. pretty sure I had a conversation with my OH this mornign along the lines of (him) "I'll drive", me "OK", Him "i'll drive", me "yes" him "this is the driver's side of the car...." followed by "morrison's have a cafe that will be open now..." when he parked the car up and walked across the road to his work....

Rest would be nice, she says as she leaves for a pilates class...

I don't know why your alarm is going off at the wrong time but maybe it is time for a change of ring tone.

I can't see that working, you'll just turn over in your sleep and dream of big trucks!

I must get round to recording a Manchester tram 'poop!' for my text alert....
