Should I go microwave free and buy an air fryer?

Mine is very little different when made in the microwave to when I make it in a pan on the stove top.

Me too - depends on how you do it
I zap it for a few minutes then stir in the zap it again for a few minutes

also depends on the bowl - I prefer a deep bowl - which requires more stirring
SWMBO prefers a wide, shallow bowl and one zapping
but then she is fussy

Careful on that middle aisle when you go to Aldi. With all those vouchers you could well come home with a rotivator, an arc welder, a wet suit and a 100 piece socket set, none of which will fit in your flat.

An air fryer is a mini oven. Would you warm up beans or soup or stew in an oven?

Stew sometimes, the others no. But mainly because of efficiency - it is quicker and uses less energy to heat them in a pan. But a stew will often have been cooked in the oven in the first place, so reheating it in teh oven seems more sensible somehow.

Air fryer for sure. Ours is used multiple times daily. I still use the microwave oven occasionally so it has it's uses but if I were to only have one thing, it's without question the air fryer.

I'll be diplomatic and say i'm fussier than you.

That doesn't sound fussy, it sounds even less discerning than you and Alex. Oops, forgot about diplomacy!

Making porridge in a pan involves heating up a liquid mixed with oats so that oats soften and break down in the liquid.

The only difference is the speed of heating and the amount of mixing.

It will be the stirring that makes the difference, though you would think somebody calling themselves "lazybloke" might not want to do too much of that

I suggested buying just an air fryer as I still think heating 'sloppy' food up in one is possible. The friend who said you can't do as there aren't any leak proof containers in air fryers, didn't say you can't put your own metal leak proof containers in them. It's such a difficult choice as being a vegetarian, I prefer 'sloppy' food over sausages, chicken breasts, roast potatoes etc. I don't eat fake meat chicken breasts etc as eating fake meat to me means you still have a desire to eat dead animals, plus the odd one I've tried tasted 🤮. I'm not dragging this out on purpose, but I don't want to buy one then wish I'd bought the other! The microwave option seems the easiest, but I would like an air fryer, even if it's mainly for the novelty as I've never owned or used on. I'm getting by at the moment with my slow cooker, which isn't that slow when you make a not too big 'sloppy' meal in it, like last night's spinach and feta ravioli, mixed greens, garlic and broccoli and Stilton soup. I'd rather have something like that than a plate of dried veggie sausages, potatoes, carrots and broccoli etc. 🤔

I thought with Chicago town pizzas you took them out of the box then flushed them down the loo.
Why put the middleman I.e yourself through the horror of eating one.🤮

Normally I would agree with you but.......
Without boring you, now I am on my own and not enjoying the best of health, sometimes it's a case of getting something simple down my neck so............
A C T pizza in one draw and some chips in the other it fills a hole.

There are much better ready made pizzas out there.
