Shouldn't you wash it first?

Over breakfast I caught a news article about fashion and the new "Sex and the City" film.

One comment caught me about some of the designer gowns and their use....it was along the lines of:

Quite often the dressers are at the door and as soon as the dress is off it is packed and flown off to the next wearer for a premier that evening

Surely wearing a dress that has had someone sweating in it under floodlights in a desert is not going to be pleasant to wear that evening?

They must wash it first surely?

ugh, i saw that 'news' item too. i find it very uncomfortable to think that anyone is so vain that they give so much thought to this area of their life... it's just weird!
Some of the people they interviewed are frighteningly shallow.

Believe me, you wouldn't want to *wash* the dress. It would be a good idea to have it *cleaned* but for a designer one-off, then the type of cleaning required will be highly specialised and I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the *cleaning* is taken care off in-house, so to speak.

I'd pay good money for... where is Patrick anyway? :wahhey:
He's busy unpacking a long-anticipated delivery from Myfanwy's Naughty But Not Nice range. As her website puts it, "Dirty Clothes for Dirty Boys."

He may be a while.
