I’ve got a Pedals Cupboard. Along with all my other solely BMX spares, options, over purchasing, rare items, replacements, shiny things I bought just because.
Along with a huge tub of general bike cables, tubes, nuts, bolts, fittings, adjusters, grip tape, bar ends, spare lights etc. All new. I generally sell / give away stuff I’ve used and upgrading or changing…..
Keeping used pedals ? Not so much my Mantra. But hey - one man’s pointless is another man’s passion 😁

I find pedals, like saddles (and to some extent bar tape) are a personal thing, and tend to be changed on a new-to-you bike.

For some reason I'm not surprised at seeing this
.Don't have a pedals box but do have too many boxes/bags/shelves full of bike bits of one sort or another ;after today's fettling I'm going to have a serious look and sort through and try and trim it down a bit.

Running out / production stopping - of something I’m currently into - is always a concern. Buying multiples at least buys me time…..😁
And yes reference your amount of spares - I’ve only been back into bikes for a couple of years. And I have enough. And if I wasn’t so OCD; could have easily had an awful lot more. It’s alot easier to become an accidental border than not ! As your suggesting………🤣

To be fair to myself a decent proportion of stuff (cassettes and chains) I horded while still at work and could get them at good prices (ie on offer from Madison at trade), lots of it though are from me changing specs around on bikes and also not needing anything for commuting any more; thing is though a lot of it isn't worth a lot so not worth selling here or on the 'bay when postage is taken in to account, some of it will be donated at some point somewhere.

You’re right. Some of it you literally have to give away to free up space. I had various second hand stuff I imagined would be snapped up on eBay / in reasonable demand. The cycling World thought otherwise…..🤣
I give lots to a guy at work who tinkers / fixes bikes for people. And my local cycle recycle centre has a visit from me reasonably often.

Shows commendible long term planning on the pedal zone.
Impressive that they are all in pairs. Suggests a ruthless nature that casts out the singles.
