Sold to brother-in-law, about 1997 (after I'd had it repainted, & the cranks/stem chromed)
A gap then until 2007
Trek 6000Disc
I had to substantially adjust it, on purchase
Far too 'sit up & beg', & 'mile-wide' h/bars
The fat (2.2"?) tyres were binned, for 1.5" Specialized Houfallise (spelling?)

Sold during the year that opens this post
Why I was being chased by runners, it was the 2008

Sorry to bring some from so long ago, out into the daylight, but I was looking at the homepage & the highlighted/latest posts for each sub-forum
To add a bit of context
- My '89 Pine Mountain was bought at
Two Wheels Good in Leeds, quite a legendary shop, I believe?
(1)
- I also bought an Orbit America road-bike ('90 model?) from there , it had terrible paint quality, & was resprayed within 2 years (twice.... as the first paint reacted
It was originally all pink, on the respray, but with the reaction, they offered just to do the top half
(weird saddle position, as someone else was borrowing/riding it)
- My girlfriend (wife since '98) bought a Marin Bear Valley from there ('89), but the smallest frame, so it had that silly 'U-Brake' under the chainstays
At the behest of a friend, who really wanted it, we swapped (with a bit of money) for an Orange 'Aluminium O' for her!
She even raced that, for one season, in the Yorkshire Mountain Bike Club series (getting a trophy!)
Robin Hoods Bay x 2
Tong Woods (between Leeds & Bradford)
Probably taken at the '
Nations Cup' cyclo-cross, when it was held in Roundhay Park (Leeds) to test the forthcoming World Championship course, when Roger Hammond won Junior Gold
(2)
- The Pace was later refurbished
Returned to the factory (nice when you can just turn up, knock on the door!), for new bearings/new brake-line guides/a few other parts
The Bullseye cranks were chromed, like the stem
Wheels built by (the now retired) Gary Proud, of Kendell Cycles (Castleford)
I eventually sold it to my brother-in-law
(1) TWG was on Call Lane, not far from the Corn Exchange
This was back when John Stevenson (co-founder of
MBUK magazine) worked there part-time, & also Brant Richards (think he created the 'On-One' brand??)
(2) When Hammond won Gold at Roundhay, he was staying with friends of mine (the son shares my name & was also in the GB team that day, along with his younger brother)
After the medal/jersey were awarded, I was talking to Nora, his 'host', as (dad) Phil was officiating & still busy, he hugged her, thanking her profusely
He was happy to give me a flash of the jersey (he had to cover it up, as he kept getting stopped for photos)
There's a bit of a postscript to this
It was 25 years between Hammond & Tom Pidcock winning his Junior CX World title
Pidcock lives (or did) in Roundhay, near the park.....................
