Handrail bracket off our stairs after removal of 30+ years of paint.

I assume you mean the sprocket size. I run 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 24 on a 53 x 39 (standard crankset) - I don't have a large cassette as my rear mech will only go to 26T. It's down to my racing days - you tend to run a straight through block as much as possible - i.e. only 1 or 2 tooth jumps. The 24 is a bail out !
