Have you filed a bit off the worm thread so it opens out a tadge more? That's what I did to mine.

Indeed it is. @Cuchilo is a pro, he makes a living creating beautiful things in wood. I have been in his workshop and he has some very nice and very expensive machines.That, if I may say so, is a nice bit of woodwork.
