Would you use a facility described below?

I'm sure this has been done before but I thought I would get some feedback from you all.

If there was a place where you could a) securely lock up your bike inside which was manned all day b) provided showering and changing facilities and c) provided a bike cleaning and general maintenance service within the city centre would you use it?

If so how much would you be willing to pay per day?

Thanks for your feedback.

Only if I didn't have the same facilities at work. Currently I have all of those provided within the building I work in.

We are blessed with showers at work and also a lockable cycle shed with sheffield stands. Oh, luxury^_^. But actually, I have only used them once in 2008!. After a five mile commute, I usually arrive at the office OK with no minging BO problems . My back gets a bit hot, but nothing that can't be controlled with a cheap towel I keep in the desk drawer.

This is the sort of facility I might use while on a cycle tour.
Arriving in a new town/city and wanting to visit places of interest it would be good to have secure parking for a pannier laden bike for a few hours and to have use of the washroom etc., before exploring on foot.

I work in a hospital with changing rooms, so there are already facilities here. Including bike lockers (if you want to fork out monthly) or one-time-payment sheds with secure entry.

Before that i would use a sink and babywipes so... well, i wouldn't pay.

I also have these facilities at work, but I consider them so valuable that if I no longer had them, I would consider paying for them.

No idea how much though, but I'd rather pay a flat rate (annual or monthly, say) than a per-use charge.

When I started commuting in the 80's it was very much a spit-wash at the sinks in the Gents loo. Now I have a shower, locker and secured bike shed #spoilt

I'd pay for it but failing that I'd find a cheapo gym nearby and pay for that instead, and then I could nip for a swim or use their sauna/steam room if I liked.

It doesn't say that they have showers though. I heard about it recently and it sounds like a great idea for workers in the city centre who don't have cycle parking facilities at work.
We apparently have a shower at work in the mens' toilets (I've never been in there ). My journey to work is mostly downhill then flat and it's only 3 miles so I don't need a shower when I get to work.

Thanks for all of the feedback so far.

At the moment I have showering facilities at my place of work too but I just wondered if there was any scope in having this sort of thing available for those working in the city centre, especially with the boom in cycling in which we have seen in the recent years.

Yeah, something like that, but obviously with the showering facilities which would be the main draw.
