I am really lucky in that we have shower facilities, individual lockers and we are allowed to make use of little used storages areas to secure our bikes in. In addition we have access to a tumble drier if it is not in use for official purposes.

This has been made possible because one of the senior managers fully supported our original bid to bring the C-2-W scheme to the business because he agreed that he would be able to offset the investment required to install the showers etc against a forecast in increased productivity due to a reduction in absence due to ill health.

In 2009 2 members of staff purchased bikes through the scheme and regularly cycled to work. The business dropped the C-2-W scheme in 2010 despite this decision we have seen the numbers steadily rise in the intervening years to over 15 riders commuting on more than 3 days per week over a 40 week period.

I'm looking into joining this place: http://www.h2bikerun.co.uk/ as I intend to start doing a 30 mile (each way) commute into London a couple of times a week. Secure parking, lockers, gym, showers, etc, etc. Perfect for me as a) I have no such facilities at work and b) I can't ride 3 miles without sweathing, never mind 30.
Looks good. So its obviously something that has been proven to work.

I just wish I didn't sweat so much!

No but luckily the last 4 miles of my commute is flat/downhill so i'm not a sweaty mess when arriving and can take it easy.
I have though upgraded from getting changed in a cubicle to a spacious disabled toilet with radiator, mirror and sink !!

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I am usually a sweatty mess by the time I get to work, so the Dutch method will not work form me.

Baby wipes for me. No showers, or lockers, just the nearest loo.
I am a sweaty monkey too but then i work in a large industrial welding facility so i need a shower after work to remove the unique smell rather than before .

Can I reverse my vote? I voted before reading the question

Its not been often I work in a city centre, I did for 6 months but they had showers, secure parking and the likes but since it was only 4-5 miles away I just used wipes.
