Any advice, I have a track pump wrong valve. Long story... involves Hong Kong company providing a converter. Anything available on a tight budget on the high street (Argos, Homebase) or available for quick delivery? My LBS are very expensive.

Googling 'Schrader Presta converter' throws up a selection all for less than £2 each, or have I misunderstood the question?

I have already paid 83 pence UK for one, I now know it won't be here until 27th May (earliest). I was hoping someone would say... buy one from XYZ and it will be with you in the morining. Given that it is so small and light, doesn't need a Jiffy bag, or for me to take a day off work to wait for it, or that it will enjoy five weeks crossing the globe, whilst I stare at my deflated ego and tyre. If you know what I mean?

Buy one from your LBS or Halfords

Lots of online places (e.g. Wiggle) do next day delivery but they charge at least a fiver usually, so it would probably be cheaper just to buy from the LBS however expensive (which is relative)

Thanks everyone, @jnrmczip very generous to offer, thank you especially. My Lbs is having a shop fit, they sell them for £2.50, they are currently closed. I will pop into Halfords tomorrow morning and suck up the cost (it's miles away). It's been that kind of week!

Personally I would use this as an opportunity and order one from evans today and pay for next day delivery means I would have an excuse to buy something on the list I want without the better half getting on my case haha. Good luck buddy and hopefully you pick one up

wilkinsons sell bike bits, as do the big supermarkets. Maybe they are closer? You never know an old fashioned hardware place or similar may do too. I guess I'm lucky to have about 5 LBS within 5 miles, probably more!

There is so much to say for this strategy, infact sod it! That's the way to go  I have no experience or account with Evans so I will do just this with anyone who can offer the service at the best price.

You don't need to have an account with Evans, it's all very straightforward, assuming you have a credit card. I've bought a few items from them and found them to be fast and efficient.
Other online retailers are probably just as good^_^
