When I learnt maths we used to use brackets......so I'm not even starting on this one

I was taught you do divides and multiplies first if nothing is in brackets, therefore it is 1

I was taught you read the equation left to right, that makes the answer 2.
Still need brackets imo.
Btw, I was the last in my class in maths
