Have a look at the Lasco Track and Singlespeed chainset on VeloSolo, they do both 1/8th and 3/32, I've used these in the past on one of my fixed.

I got mine from my LBS but having googled it Halfords seem to stock em, its a 55 series crank.

I've not been too fussy about chain sets, using any that I have from older bikes. I've even used a standard double to good effect. Something like a 42x17 for casual riding and then switching to the 52x15 for a time trial and the chain slack being absorbed at the same time. It's also easy converting a double to a single by using shorter crank bolts or spacers.

Recently I've been impressed with Sinz cranks (square taper) and you can go quite short with these cranks.
