The spacer on my rear axle has sheared in half.
I've managed to lock in place one of the pieces (and wheel seems to spin staight), but would ideally like to replace the snapped spacer.

The current spacer is threaded - does it NEED to be threaded? Or can it be any type of spacer as long as it's roughly the same thickness?

Yes, that's my first port of call - but won't be able to get over for a few days. Wondered it there was a quicker answer here.

Depends what you have laying around. You could probably get away with a section of plastic tube cut to the correct length for now or some washers.
