I don't know what criteria there is for a Knighthood, but does he really deserve one? It seems recently,
if you win a sporting event Britain has not won in years, you get one. So should he get one? Keep
in mind there is aged Rock stars in line as well.

I think that they are a nonsense, so no, he should not get one, and neither should anybody else. I would do away with all awards, even SPOTY. Win sporting events to prove how good you are at your sport!

The weather here has been getting better over the last two weeks, it's glorious now. Surely Murray's run at Wimbledon has made this happen!?!?! What better contribution to humanity than giving Britain a decent spell of weather this summer?

He was smiling an awful lot yesterday - I have never seen him looking and sounding so relaxed and friendly! I suppose we mere mortals will never understand the pressures that stars pile on themselves when dreaming their (almost) impossible dreams.

Keep them for people that make a difference to peoples lives, and by that I mean a real life changing difference, there are plenty of trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses, charity workers etc etc that are far more deserving. They give them away far to willy nilly if you ask me.

They enhance the look of the country and as long as what they do is great like wiggo in the Olympics and TDF I dont see why not.

I think he deserves one but wait until he retires. Being a knight must be very grand for a sportsman. It must emphasize a barrier between himself and his team mates and rivals. Give him the next one down for now, OBE isn't it?

I don't agree with knighthoods, but to be fair to Murray, he didn't just work 2 weeks to win at Wimbledon, he dedicated himself to the task for about 20 years!
