The question you should be asking is how Strettle managed to majke a balls of a cast iron try opportunity?

Nope. Can't let it go. How did he 'balls it up' you say? I'd take a guess that being in contact with three Welsh players as classy as .5p, George North and Jonathan Davies might have something to do with it. Not sure I'd fancy any old school wings chances in that situation.

I played againsty some big lads in my time , but if i saw GN coming towards me at a rate of knots i think i would be a bit unnerved .

So you're saying that you know better than the TMO a man professionally trained to review footage.

Strettle should have scored but didn't.

There were plenty of other mistakes made by the referee team on Saturday but whether or not Strettle scored was not one of them.

Watch it again, Strettle could have gone straight for the corner but he comes slightly inside and gets hit sooner than he would have if had gone for the corner, therefore he doesn't have quite enough momentum to make it over.

I have sky+ too and can't see this angle that would have proved it was a try.

As a referee can you tell me why England didn't get they were playing advantage for?

Physics. He's a tiddler. Even with more momentum, with Strettle's lack of mass, the big lads would have rolled him up. A Bananahands might have made it, but then a Bananahands would not have got into the position Strettle did to make the attack. imo

Who said there was an angle that proved it was a try? Stop assuming I'm partisan.

Not sure I understand the question. Could you rephrase it?

Cracking second try by Ireland! Best of the championship so far? Looked positively 'French'!

They're doing a great job generally...right in their faces. Hope England are taking notes...

Penny has dropped.

Mr Walsh is reported as having said that he had decided that England had obtained enough 'tactical' advantage and he had decided that the advantage was over when Strettle made his attempt at scoring. Quite why Mr Walsh had not told anyone, in the time honoured manner, that it was "advantage over" is anybody's business. Quite how the tactical advantage of zero points equates to the near certain 3 of a pen is another piece of the mystery that is elite reffing.

A cynic would say he has a huge ego and had a 'mare of a day, and forgetting he was playing advantage at the end and then making up some story to cover it is merely par for the course.

Slightly disappointed but also relieved with a draw. Wales should win the slam but you never know!!

Let Wales have a Grand Slam - it means nothing. However, I would like to see the same centre pairing in the France team for next Sunday's match at St Denis  ...somehow I think Rougerie might be shunted sideways and Mermoz given a chance to go 'bash a bash' against Tuilagi and Barritt.
