It is just as hard at the other end of the scale, with a 54 chest and 44 waist. Most shops, except the specialist big man shops, stop at 48 chest. Trousers are less of a problem, I guess that reflects the nations expanding waistline. I have pretty well abandoned trying to find sport gear in the mainstream sports retailers, except for Sports Direct who do a range of Karimoor kit in very large sizes. Most of the kit I wear on the bike is either Karimoor or not cycling specific kit.

Maybe you should try Lusso gear BikeCurious. This is the only brand that I have found that fits me correctly for 2 tops in my normal size. Hopefully Lusso gear for the bottom half is a bit more gernerous too than other brands. Having said that Endura Hummvee trousers and Gridlock overtrousers fit me perfectly for my bottom half for my normal size, the tops are all over the place though. I was in a bike shop yesterday trying on a couple of Gore long sleeve jersey's yesterday and even the XL was a very snug fit on me and not a massive step up from the L, it was also 36% more expensive than online. I do not consider myself overweight, I maybe have fairly broad shoulders but the Gore stuff is certainly a very snug fit, and to get their stuff to fit me the arms have to be way too long.
