I enjoyed Livingno when I went there with some mates, its tax free so fairly well priced and the pubs were pretty lively; Its the only time I've been on a sking holiday so I cant compare it with anything else.
Livigno is pretty lively, but a bugger of a long transfer. It's high, so the snow's always in good nick.
I've not been there, but Sauze D'Oulx (sp?) has a certain reputation too.
If you're real party animals, then Pas de la Casa in Andorra could be worth a look.
Lots of skiing, and mad cheap alcohol
We're going to Livigno again this year, highly recommended -- also in summer, fantastic cycling. I can also recommend the Dolomites (enormous skiing area with the Dolomite pass).
